Georgian State Folk Singing and Dancing Ensemble  “GURJAANI”

Georgian State Folk Singing and Dancing Company “GURJAANI”, which is united in The Association Of Culture Development and Renaissance from Georgia, was founded in 1961 year. . Under the leadership Of Avtandil and Dzabuli Gurgenidze. The art director of the group is Mr. Paata Gurgenidze.

   In Our Association and In Georgia. The Ensemble consists Of 70 Dancers and Singers, The age of     participants are 15 years and over.

     The repertoire of the ensemble is represented by the best folk dances, such as: “Kartuli” “Adjarian” “Farikaoba”, “Shejibri”, “Women’s Mtiuluri , Fartsa  ,Kazbeguri,  Khanjluri  and  etc.
The duration of the program is 90 minutes and the goes accompanied of live music. During the
Existence of the ensemble it has become a laureate of many international and republican festivals. It has deserved a golden medal and the first sort diplomas, and Prize. The ensemble had tours in different countries of the world. Such as Turkey, Poland, Bulgaria, , Netherlands, France, Greece, Spain , Italy , USA, Canada.

Ensemble is laureate of world festival an is holder of many grand Prix and gold medals owner.
 In 1979 year - In Russia Moscow - paramount award gold medal.
 In 1981 year - In Bulgaria Sofia - appellation of lauriate.
 In 1982 year - In Georgia Tbilisi - first station and pecuniary bonus.
 In 1985 year - In Hungary - best status of Ensemble.
 In 1990 year - In Poland - grand prix.
 In 1991 year - In Holland - first station and pecuniary bonus comercial.
 In 1992 year - In Germany Belgium - performances.
 In 1996 year - In France in italy - best status of ensemble.
 In 1997 year - in America in Canada - comercial concerts and first station in festival.
 In 2001 year - In Holland comercial performances.
 In 2002 year - In Bulgaria - grand prix and appellation of laureat.

 Curently ensembles chief is Paata Gurgenidze profesional choreographer and owner of many grand prix and lauretes statues.

    Ensemble “Gurjaani” today is continuation his triumphal honored as Georgian and in the many country of the world too. Their concerts have always performed with the great success and they have deserved the great ovations of the public.
